Can you please spare a square?
First there was the electronic paper towel dispenser that only let out one sheet at a time with the wave of your hand... now, believe it or not, there is a toilet paper dispenser that is limiting the number of 'squares' dispensed at a time. The new t.p. dispenser only allows you 5 sheets... seriously... it that really a good idea to limit the number of sheets you can use? This isn't just an invention that might hit the market, it's already out there and it's being manufactured by a well known company that makes dispensers and bath tissues. The idea behind the invention is, of course, to cut back on waste. The company says if people used just 5 sheets, it would cut back on toilet paper use by 20%. Here at work, it is a rare occasion that our paper towel dispenser is actually working... not having a paper towel is one thing, but not having toilet paper? What happens if these electric dispensers go down when you really need them and there is no one around to ask for a spare square? In my opinion, some things just don't need improvements.
