You paid how much?

My husband called me this morning to tell me how much it cost him to fill up his tank... let's just say it could buy formula for almost a month. On my way into work this morning, I noticed gas prices had jumped 14 cents from just a couple of days ago when I filled up. Then, just a little bit ago I read an article on CNN.com about how gas prices could reach $4 a gallon this summer... please say it isn't so! Earlier this week on Sunrise, we actually had a story about a gas station in Orlando, FL that was charging $3.99 for a gallon of regular unleaded. AAA says gas prices are about to rise even higher because of oil reserves damaged during hurricane Katrina. According to the analyst in the CNN article, he says we'll have no trouble beating the record high right after Katrina of $3.05 per gallon. If you're looking for some ways to save money, AAA has some pretty neat tools on their website... you can find out how much gas stations near you are charging for gas, or find out what it's going to cost you on your next road trip.
