Weird Travel Stops

It was the haircut that shook the nation! I might be the only person who didn't know this before this morning, but did you know that Elvis Presley got his 'famous military haircut' at Fort Chaffee in Fort Smith... or did you know that the U.S. has its very own Leaning Tower of Pisa? If you plan on taking a road trip this summer, don't forget to see some of the more unique stops. I found a couple of cool websites that let you look up interesting roadside stops all across the country... like the Babyland General Hospital in Cleveland, GA (where Cabbage Patch Kids are born) or the garage where the first Apple computer was built (it's in Los Altos, CA in case you're wondering). It's not just the weird landmarks you can look up either. You can also search for landmarks by their historical value, relevance to food, music, etc. So, the next road trip I take, I'm definitely going to see what's along my route because you can have some of the most enjoyable times by visiting some of the more unique places. I mean really, who needs Disney World when you've got Leila's Hair Museum in Independence, MO? If you'd like to check it out visit these websites:
