Who's got the coffee?

We're waking up earlier here on Sunrise! We're expanding our show to start at 5 a.m. and we're all excited about the changes... even if it means we'll need an extra cup or two of coffee in the morning! Some of the changes you'll see on our expanded show include a Top Clicks segment where we highlight some of the most-viewed videos and stories from the web. For those of you wanting the latest technology news, we've added a segment called Techbytes. And if you've found this blog, then you've found our new Sunrise web page! We're going to have surveys, videos, stories and information you can only get during the Sunrise newscast, so be sure to check back often! I'll also be blogging on a regular basis. I'm new to the blogging world and am still a little nervous about what to write about each day. It's funny because I write on a daily basis, but when writing news stories, we don't editorialize. That's why it's going to take some getting use to when sharing my thoughts about news stories, local events and whatever else may cross my mind that day. Well, I think that's all for today... I hope you've enjoyed my very first blog. I'll see you all in the morning!

I missed a morning show this week where you talked about Heroes in our lives. Is there a contest for this? Thanks for your help - Kathy

Yes, there is a contest. The Red Cross is asking people to nominate everyday heroes for an award. Here's a link to their website http://www.nwarkansasredcross.org/HeroesGala/HerosGala.html

You can also call Robin Dorf at
479-306-4688 ext. 204 to nominate someone. There are 10 different categories for the winners.
